Both Marty & Cal have received their US Coast Guard 50-Ton Master Captain License so that they can share their love of sailing and the wonder of the ocean with the world.
CAL LANDAU
Captain & Charter Coordinator
Cal spent almost his whole childhood on the rivers of Pittsburgh - speedboats, houseboats and some serious waterskiing.
Cal's Grandfather moved many years ago to Singer Island and owned several sport fishing boats. This exposure to the area became an obsession for Cal, and even as a child he promised himself to live in the area someday.
In the 80's, Cal's father also caught 'sailboat fever' and moved onboard with his wife. Cal's father is now 98 and still enjoys sailing on Carpe Vita.
MARTY LANDAU
First Mate
Marty grew up in southern Pennsylvania near a large lake where her father worked as the dam's lockmaster for the Army Corps of Engineers. Forever a water-lover, it was a natural progression to move to Florida near the ocean.
Marty is a certified Health Educator through the Hippocrates Heath Institute, and also works as an integrative health coach. She is currently creating her own personal care line made with marine algae extracts.
TALLULAH
The Wonder-Dog
Tallulah is 100 lbs of love in a 5-lb package. She loves adults, kids and her incredible collection of toys (that she will surely ask you to play with)!
Also an experienced sailor, Tallulah is right at home on Carpe Vita.
